Quality Controller

Te Tūranga - The Role

The quality of our Tait products is critical - Tait radio users face tough conditions. Our Quality Controller plays a core role, responsible for the end-to-end quality of materials and products in our manufacturing processes, ensuring they meet specifications and AQL procedures.

This role involves undertaking independent audits of products and materials, identifying issues, and ensuring they are addressed promptly. It also requires maintaining strong relationships and communication with Tait's suppliers to prevent recurrence of quality issues.

The Duties of the Role
  1. Conduct component inspections and manage defects, collaborating with manufacturing to resolve issues.
  2. Promote continual quality improvement and uphold Tait's high standards, internally and with suppliers.
  3. Coordinate audits of finished products and assist in achieving compliance with relevant quality standards.
  4. Collect and analyze data for process control and quality improvement, providing clear reports to management.
Ō Pūkenga - About You

You should have excellent communication skills, able to connect and influence staff at all levels, as well as suppliers and customers.

  • Ideally familiar with BaaN software.
  • Understanding of manufacturing, distribution, and quality processes.
  • Strong attention to detail, proactive, and able to address issues professionally and promote improvement.
