Job Description

Are you a friendly and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills? Join our dental practice in Christchurch, New Zealand, as a Receptionist/Dental Assistant! In this dynamic role, you will be the face of our practice, welcoming patients with a warm smile and providing exceptional customer service.

  • Greet and assist patients in a professional and courteous manner, addressing their inquiries and concerns with empathy and patience.
  • Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and cancellations efficiently, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Handle payment processing, banking, and other administrative tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with the dental team, supporting them during patient appointments and assisting with various dental procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring a positive experience for patients and staff.
  • Multitask and prioritize tasks effectively, adapting to changing priorities as needed.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment, fostering open communication and collaboration.

Hours For This Role Are

  • Tuesday 8:15am - 2:00p.m
  • Wednesday 8:15am- 2:00p.m
  • Flexibility with other days and times will be essential, as sick leave and annual leave will need to be covered

Qualifications

  • Warm and positive attitude with a strong customer service orientation.
  • Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and colleagues.
  • Strong work ethic and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Team-oriented approach and willingness to collaborate with dental professionals.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving skills to handle customer inquiries and resolve issues effectively.
  • Empathy and patience when dealing with patients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is not required, as comprehensive training will be provided.
