Offering an hourly rate of $26.00 p/hr

Mō te tūnga | About the role

We are interested in hearing from people who have a caring nature and are family-oriented for our Family Home Reliever roles.

Our Family Home Relievers provide routine for tamariki and rangatahi and maintain a safe, caring, responsible, and supportive family environment on a 24/7 basis.

The mahi is rewarding and varied. Responsibilities include:

  1. Day-to-day care of children and young people
  2. Providing emotional support to vulnerable children
  3. Coordinating transport to and from appointments and activities
  4. Working in an Oranga Tamariki family home, including meal preparation, helping with homework, and maintaining a nurturing environment

This is a casual opportunity; shifts will be scheduled as needed to cover absences and leave for caregivers. You can choose shifts that suit your work/life balance and preferences, contributing positively to the lives of tamariki, rangatahi, and whānau in our community.

The role may suit someone seeking occasional work or more frequent hours, depending on availability.
