Job description

We are seeking a Level 4 Qualified Health Care Assistant to join our team .8FTE at our Rural Hospital and Aged Care Facility located in Ranfurly, Otago.

Main Purpose of Position:

To be part of a team led by a Registered Nurse providing nursing care to Residents, Patients and Family/Whanau which promotes, maintains and assists in improving the individual’s health and wellbeing.

Key Tasks
  1. To behave in a professional manner adhering to the Company’s policies and guidelines.
  2. To use a professional framework to deliver safe and competent patient focused care alongside the Registered Nurse.
  3. To work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to optimise outcomes for the patient.
  4. To maintain a safe and secure work environment following policies, protocols and standards.
  5. To be responsible for ongoing professional development.
  6. To contribute to the administration of the hospital and the efficient utilisation of resources.
  7. To undertake the tasks as outlined in the Duties Folder.
  8. To undertake meal delivery and resident feeding.
  9. To undertake laundering of residents' personal clothing in a hygienic manner.
  10. To undertake cleaning duties in a hygienic and methodical manner.
Reporting

You will report to the Registered Nurse on shift and the Clinical Nurse Manager.
