Are you an experienced Caregiver who finds it fulfilling to care for residents with dementia? Possum Bourne Retirement Village has an opportunity for you.

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Possum Bourne Retirement Village in Pukekohe, South Auckland as a Caregiver in our Special Care Unit. This position will involve working with our residents who need an experienced and reliable person with a passion for dementia care.

We have a Part-time position available working Sunday to Thursday 1500 - 2100.

In this role you will:

  • Oversee residents providing activities to engage them
  • Follow our residents' individual care plans, providing care that would be good enough for your own mum, dad, nana or poppa
  • Engage with our residents and develop lasting relationships with them and their families
  • Use the latest technology - including our own purpose-built care app myRyman
  • Take time to learn about each resident, their background, and what makes them happy to help them enjoy life to the fullest

About You

  • A reliable, friendly, and professional style
  • Have obtained or are willing to complete the relevant unit standards (or an equivalent qualification as approved by Ryman) within 18 months of employment
