Instream is a small team of talented ecologists looking for excellent people to help broker deals for the environment. We need people with smarts, who are practical, and have a proven ability to learn.
We have two roles that need filling: one is for a graduate ecologist with up to 5 years’ experience, and the other is for an intermediate to senior ecologist with at least 5 years’ experience. Both roles assume a minimum post-graduate degree in ecology. The successful candidates will preferably have training and experience in freshwater ecology, as that is our core area of expertise.
What does Instream do? We provide ecology and water quality consulting services to a range of clients from the private and public sector. One day we're monitoring threatened fish in rural Canterbury and the next we're coordinating waterway restoration between a property developer and local government. This diversity in projects and clientele keeps our advice balanced and our work varied and interesting. We are serious about making a positive difference to our natural environment, and our clients are too.
Why work for Instream? We are a well-respected team of skilled and experienced ecologists. The work we do reflects our core values of Practicality, Integrity, Excellence, Fairness, and Making a Difference. Our small size means everyone has a voice and they are listened to. We are nimble. We are not an ecology add-on to a multi-national!
