About the organisation

Weave Hawke’s Bay exists to help whānau along life’s journey. We’re a local, community-based organisation with a big heart; our team supports Hawke’s Bay people with services including counselling, social work, whānau education, financial mentoring and early childhood education.

We have two Early Childhood Services supporting around 160 tamariki:

  • Bright Futures Home-Based ECE was established in 1994 providing the very best home-based care and education for children and their families.
  • Sunny Days ECE Centre supports over 60 tamariki across two purpose-built buildings. We provide a bi-cultural curriculum and celebrate the many cultures within our diverse community.
About the role

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and part of the Executive Management Team, this role is responsible for the effective running of both ECE services. A centre manager and team leader for Bright Futures report to you directly and you have the support of two ECE administrators’ part of our business support team. This is a full-time role of 37.5 hours from 8.30am – 4.30pm Monday to Friday.

The role requires you to have experience in senior ECE management. You will provide professional leadership, strategic and financial management and mentoring and coaching ensuring each service exceeds our legislative requirements and meets its operational and financial goals.
