Job summary

BestStart Bremner Rd is seeking an experienced Caregiver to join our warm, welcoming teaching team in a 30‑hour-per-week permanent role, Monday to Friday. You’ll play an active part in our day-to-day life, support tamariki’s learning and wellbeing, and contribute to a positive centre environment.

You’ll work with kaiako to provide nurturing care, planning and assessment, learning stories, and a safe, inclusive space for tamariki to thrive alongside our supportive team.

Qualifications

• Has previous experience working in an ECE centre with Infants and Toddlers.
• Experience caring for and working with children under five.
• Confident contributing to planning, assessment and learning stories.
• Genuine passion for supporting children to learn, grow and thrive.
• Warm, nurturing, responsive and respectful in their approach.
• Works well as part of a team and is flexible, resilient and willing to take initiative.
• Committed to providing a safe, inclusive and engaging environment for tamariki.

Responsibilities

At BestStart Bremner Rd, we’re looking for an experienced and passionate Caregiver to join our warm, welcoming and supportive team. This is a 30-hour permanent role, Monday to Friday, where you’ll be an important part of our teaching team and contribute meaningfully to the learning and wellbeing of our tamariki.

We’re looking for someone who is confident taking an active role in the day-to-day life of the centre. You’ll work alongside our kaiako to provide warm, responsive care, support children’s learning and contribute to a positive and engaging environment.

As a Caregiver, you will have the opportunity to:
