Job summary

BestStart Powells Road Kindy – Home of the Brave is seeking a dedicated Caregiver to join our welcoming team in Hamilton. The role is part-time, 30 hours per week (6 hours per day, Monday to Friday), with potential for additional hours.

The position is ideal for experienced caregivers, career changers, or TiNTs looking to build skills in a supportive environment. Our approach embraces Te Whāriki and atua Māori, focusing on Brave, Bold and authentic development for tamariki.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children under five.
• Genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
• Reliable, proactive and collaborative.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Interest in te ao Māori is a plus.

• Build meaningful relationships with tamariki, whānau and colleagues.

About the Role

As a Caregiver, you'll work across our 2-5 year old age group, supporting our teaching team to provide a safe, nurturing and engaging learning environment for tamariki.

You’ll:
