Your Role

Joining the team as a CAD Detailer, you willprepare detailed drawings (including production assembly) of buildings, site layouts and building consent drawings in accordance with the New Zealand Building Code (NZBC), New Zealand Standards, to meet project requirements, standard specification and client/tender specifications. This role demands a strong technical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously—from concept through to manufacture and delivery.

Day to day responsibilities:

• Undertake project documentation from design to manufacture stage
• Coordinate architectural & subconsultant documentation
• Coordinate Client/Sales team brief, drawing and estimates
• Identify creative solutions to client requirements that may involve degree of competitive differentiation, product development or innovation
• Interpret technical specifications, tender documents and building drawings in conjunction with Sales Team members
• Liaise with Consulting Engineers, consenting Authorities, suppliers, sub-contractors and sales team members as required
• Complete drafting in a timely and accurately

About You

• 3 - 5 Years' experience in building industry design and drafting (or demonstrated level of capability)
• Strong knowledge of New Zealand Building Code (NZBC) & New Zealand Standards and the ability to apply to modular building design
• Experience in Autodesk Revit (preferred)
• Sound knowledge of building regulations
• Expertise in applying compliance to modular building design
• High-level architectural documentation skills
• Quick adaptability to new software, systems, and workflows
• A self-starter mentality with a passion for improvement and innovation
• Ability to manage competing priorities
