About the Role

Are you our new Middle Years Programme (MYP) Coordinator and Teacher? Do you love teaching in a supportive school environment with motivated students eager to learn? Diocesan School for Girls is a proud dual pathway school, offering both NCEA and the International Baccalaureate.

The MYP and Diploma programmes have been established for some time, and we are currently awaiting confirmation of authorization for the MYP.

Position Details

We are seeking a registered teacher to serve as our MYP Coordinator in this full-time role. You will be responsible for the ongoing monitoring and coordination of the MYP programme for our Junior High School (Y7-10) and will also teach in your specialist subject areas. Ideally, you would start in Term 3 or 4 of 2025.

Candidate Requirements
  • Proven experience with the IB programme, particularly the MYP.
  • Demonstrated excellence in pedagogy, teaching experience, and a thorough understanding of curriculum development.
  • Passionate about teaching young women and nurturing a caring, engaging, and motivating environment for students.
  • An innovative, dynamic leader who drives positive change, with excellent planning and organizational skills, contributing to a high-trust, collegial team environment.
