About The Role

This strategic role within Datacom is pivotal in driving growth, innovation, and commercial success for our market propositions. As part of the Digital Engineering division, you will lead a team of Data & Analytics consultants specializing in our modern data platform (Snowflake, Microsoft, and Databricks), advanced analytics, and data governance capabilities.

Leveraging your extensive technical experience and ability to lead sales initiatives, you will design and develop relevant sales propositions that address our customers' business challenges. This role involves ensuring commercial sustainability and practice growth, which includes creating and managing sales strategies and product offerings to meet client and market demands.

You will be responsible for growing a high-performing team, combining your deep technical expertise with strong commercial awareness to craft, position, and sell a wide range of data-centric services. A collaborative approach is essential, as you will work closely with our internal sales and technical teams, our clients, and their customers.

What you'll do (Your Why):
  • Team Leadership: Define and execute the capability plan to create a culture of success, including team growth, performance, and development
  • Technical Leadership: Provide expert guidance and technical leadership on the development of cloud solutions and cloud-native development
  • Sales: Articulate and evangelise the Modern Application development value proposition across Sales, Service, and Marketing to internal stakeholders, customers, and the wider market
  • Strategic direction: Consult with the wider business to define and execute a growth strategy for the Modern Application services business across Wellington and wider markets
  • Commercial and financial management: Create and manage the operational budget, including month-end processes, invoicing, and reporting
  • Partner Engagement: Lead strategic planning around opportunity and product roadmaps to ensure effective collaboration with our partners
