We are currently seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Gardener to join our gardening team.

Job Description

As a Gardener at Tamahere Country Club, you will be responsible for the care and maintenance of our extensive gardens and landscaped areas. Your role will involve planting, pruning, lawn care, and general upkeep, ensuring that our grounds are always looking their best.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintain flower beds, shrubs, trees, and lawns through planting, pruning, watering, weeding, mulching, and fertilizing
2. Mow, edge, and care for lawns to keep them pristine
3. Monitor and manage pests and diseases using safe, eco-friendly methods
4. Communicate professionally with residents
5. Keep garden tools in good condition and ensure outdoor areas are clean, tidy, and safe

Ideal Candidate:

• Proven gardening or landscaping experience, preferably in residential or hospitality settings
• Experience with Walker mowers preferred
• Physically fit and willing to perform manual labor
• Strong horticultural knowledge, including plant care, pest control, and irrigation
• Skilled in safely operating gardening tools and machinery
• Detail-oriented with a passion for beautiful outdoor spaces
• Self-motivated, team player, adaptable, and able to work in all weather conditions
• Positive attitude and committed to maintaining Tamahere Country Club’s high standards
