About The Role

We are currently recruiting for an Orderly to join the team based at Tauranga Hospital. This is a permanent full-time opportunity working 80 hours per fortnight.

The main role of this position is to transfer patients, equipment and other vital supplies throughout the hospital and campus.

About the Team/Service/Location

Our Bay of Plenty Hauora a Toi Orderlies are people who are passionate about providing a high level of customer service that respects the rights and cultural needs of all individuals and work effectively with other health staff across the organisation.

The Orderly service operates a 24/7 roster so you must be available for all types of shifts – morning/afternoon/nights/weekends.

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, Bay of Plenty Hauora a Toi is spread across a vast geographical area and centred across two hospitals based in Tauranga and Whakatāne. We serve a population of approximately 308,000 for the major population centres of Tauranga, Katikati, Te Puke, Whakatāne, Kawerau and Ōpōtiki. Bay of Plenty Hauora a Toi is one of the Bay of Plenty’s largest employers with over 4500 staff.

About You

  • Clean full NZ drivers licence and the ability to drive both automatic and manual vehicles
  • Physically fit and be able to be on your feet for an entire shift as the role involves a lot of walking around the hospital
  • Excellent customer service skills and be able to work in an inclusive team environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow instructions
