- Methodist Mission Northern is part of the Three Trust structure that includes; Lifewise and Airedale Property. The Three Trusts are accountable to the Methodist Church of New Zealand Te Haahi Weteriana o Aotearoa. We have a long history of providing support in Auckland to vulnerable communities.
About the Role | Mō te Tūranga
- In this key role, you’ll support the Executive Chair and Head of Mission with confidential admin and coordination tasks. You’ll help keep Board meetings and documents running smoothly, support events and projects, and work closely with others to keep things on track. Strong organisation and clear communication are essential.
Duties | Mahi
- Providing executive-level administrative support with professionalism and discretion
- Coordinating Board and subcommittee meetings, preparing agendas, taking minutes, and managing governance documentation
- Supporting the Head of Mission with delegated projects, events, and operational tasks
- Managing the Board’s online document system (Stellar) and trustee induction materials
- Liaising with stakeholders and contributing to wider administrative needs across the organisation
- Supporting our health and safety culture and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
Skills and Qualifications | Pukenga & Wheako
- Proven experience supporting executive leadership and Boards
- Strong understanding of governance protocols and Board procedures
- Advanced organisational, documentation, and minute-taking skills
- Excellent writing and communication abilities
- High digital literacy, especially in document and presentation tools
- A flexible, proactive mindset and the ability to engage across diverse communities
