Chicken Production Worker (200266189) Rangiora, New Zealand

Salary: NZD27.81 - NZD30.4 per hour

Do you love working with animals? Are you able to work independently? Would you be keen to maximise bird health and wellbeing, by providing an optimal environment through strong livestock management practices, good housekeeping and cleanliness whilst adhering to biosecurity standards.

Working for New Zealand’s leading egg producer, who takes pride in maintaining high standards in their chicken sheds.

What is in it for you?

• Pick your own start time between 6.30-7.30am
• Competitive starting pay $27.81 per hour
• All training is provided
• Mainly indoor work

This is a good opportunity to start or continue a career working with livestock. If you prove to be a great fit, you may be offered a permanent position.

What You’ll be Doing:

• Routine checks on livestock/ feed/ water etc
• Cleaning, basic maintenance and repairs
• Removal and disposal of dead birds
• Overseeing other shed hands

Work days / hours:

• 6 week roster - between 4 and 6 days per week. Only working 2 weekends roster
• Weekday shifts 8 hours / Weekend shifts 5-6 hours

• A good level of physical fitness
• Supervisor experience – any industry
• Experience dealing with animals / stock
• Forklift licence would be a bonus

Must already living in and be legally entitled to work in New Zealand – NZ / Aust Citizenship or NZ Permanent Residency . Overseas candidates will not be considered. This role is not suitable for visa sponsorship. As the position is long term and ongoing it is Not suitable for Working Holiday Visas.
