We’re keen to hear from agri-professionals with resilience and a track record of successful business development in a cold sales environment.

In this new position as a Business Development Manager for Northland, you'll report to the Head of Key Accounts and Strategic Partnerships and be primarily responsible for:

  1. Driving new business acquisition
  2. Growing market share and customer relationships, ensuring Farmlands maximises sales, margin, and value

Location: This role can be based anywhere in the Northland region, and a vehicle is provided as a tool of trade.

To be considered for this role, you’ll need to have:

  1. A proven track record of successful business development in a cold sales environment.
  2. A significant level of general business and business development experience, gained from within a B2B environment.
  3. Exceptional relationship management skills.
  4. Broad and deep understanding of the rural sector.

To succeed, you’ll need to be a true hunter/gatherer, comfortable in a cold sales environment. You’ll love the thrill of the chase and possess the drive, tenacity, and determination to achieve sustainable sales growth and increase market share in your area.

You should be resilient to rejection, adaptable, and capable of building relationships through perseverance.
