Description

The Higgins Maintenance JV Team working on the Ara Tūhono Pūhoi to Warkworth project (P2W) has an exciting opportunity for an EHQS Advisor to join the team. This is a part-time role based at our project office in Warkworth.

This is a sole charge role on the project with the support of a wider EHSQ team at Higgins. You will be involved in all aspects of EHSQ including investigations, auditing, reporting, and supporting/coaching the JV team.

You will work approximately 20 hours per week with days and hours varying from week to week. The first 4 weeks require full-time hours to provide additional support to the team.

What You Will Bring To The Role
  • Experience in health and safety, quality, and environmental management within the construction industry is highly valued
  • Excellent knowledge of NZ legislative environment including HSE, ACC, HSNO, and industry standards
  • Thorough understanding of work-related illnesses, injuries, and rehabilitation processes
  • Ability to conduct comprehensive accident/incident investigations and recommend corrective and preventative actions
  • Strong communication skills with an emphasis on coaching and influencing
  • Knowledge of Environmental, Health, and Safety systems
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple work streams, prioritize, and meet deadlines
