We are seeking an experienced and passionate Director of Sales – Inbound Leisure to represent a portfolio of Accor-managed properties in New Zealand. This is a permanent position, and the ideal candidate will be based in the Rotorua region at the Novotel Rotorua Lakeside, covering properties including Ibis Rotorua, Novotel Christchurch, Ibis Christchurch, and Novotel Queenstown Lakeside. If you are a driven sales professional with a deep understanding of driving revenue growth in inbound leisure markets through strategic planning, team leadership, client relationship management, and market expansion, this is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact!

Job Description

The Director of Sales – Inbound Leisure will drive commercial performance and support the property-based sales teams to deliver overarching sales strategies across the portfolio hotels. You will identify evolving business needs and align with owners to maximize impact in key growth areas, ensuring our properties are the first choice for global and regional clients.

The role also requires proactive and reactive sales activities, activating domestic, global, and regional partnerships with Travel Management Companies to increase awareness among their customers and internal teams.

You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships, identifying new revenue opportunities, and executing strategies to meet commercial objectives. This role offers a unique chance to influence growth across key sectors and maximize our brand's reach in global markets.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior hotel sales or tourism marketing role, focusing on inbound or wholesale sectors.
  • Proven success in account management and business development.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and sales management and forecasting software.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
  • Service-oriented with attention to detail.
  • Multicultural awareness and flexibility in dynamic environments.
  • Independent, self-motivated, energetic, and proactive.
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate and contribute to team success.
  • Annual Salary: $105,000 - $110,000
