With an excellent and rewarding work culture, Digital Island seeks a Data Analytics Consultant with solid experience to join our Digital Services team. We aim to accelerate the delivery of better outcomes for our staff, partners, and customers by driving process improvement and automating systems to deliver superior client outcomes supported by intelligent data insights. This role is vital in our digital transformation journey and will be a catalyst for rapid scaling.

Objectives of this Role

1. Design and deliver scalable enterprise cloud data solutions in collaboration with other consultants within the Spark Business group.
2. Work with data to solve business problems, building and maintaining infrastructure to enhance processes.
3. Streamline data science workflows, adding value to our products and building customer lifecycle and retention models.
4. Develop data models and pipelines for research, reporting, and machine learning in close collaboration with business teams.
5. Advocate for best practices in data governance.
6. Lead new data projects from conceptualization to deployment, advising our development team.
7. Ensure application performance, uptime, and scalability of current databases.
8. Work within agile development methodologies, adhering to best practices and pursuing ongoing learning.

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop complex algorithms providing unique data insights.
2. Use agile processes to iteratively improve backend systems.
3. Model front-end and back-end data sources to understand user flows and enhance data analysis.
4. Build data pipelines for cleaning, transforming, and aggregating data from various sources.
5. Create predictive models to support business decision-making.
6. Coordinate with the Finance team to ensure data quality for monthly billing.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum of five years’ experience with SQL Server (BI stack preferred).
• Experience translating functional requirements into technical specifications.
• High attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Professional confidence and manner when engaging with stakeholders.
• Experience with Snowflake (preferred), Power BI or other reporting tools.
• ETL development experience, including ETL/ELT and governance tools like Matillion.
• Ability to train users.
• Experience with Azure and/or AWS.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certifications.
