Location: South Oxfordshire

Work Arrangement: Remote with international travel

I am partnered with a company that acquires, manages, and grows vertical market businesses. You will report to their Head of HR and work in a lean, high-trust environment where your impact will be visible.

The Job

My client is seeking a People & Culture M&A Partner to lead the people-side of mergers and acquisitions, from due diligence to post-deal integration. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a successful, acquisitive, and values-driven company.

Responsibilities
  1. Lead full M&A cycles from a People & Culture perspective, including due diligence, risk assessment, onboarding, and cultural integration.
  2. Partner with newly acquired businesses to align HR practices, policies, and people strategies.
  3. Collaborate with HR, Legal, Finance, and operational leaders across the group.
  4. Advise at BP/HR Advisor level on sensitive casework and structural changes, acting as a trusted consultant.
  5. Interpret and communicate people metrics, risks, and opportunities using data and spreadsheet skills.
  6. Travel regularly across Eastern Europe and Scandinavia to meet stakeholders and build strong relationships.
Qualifications
  1. Proven experience in M&A due diligence and integration, preferably in a multi-country environment.
  2. Excellent attention to detail and confidence handling complex HR data.
  3. Strong understanding of employment law and people-related risks in M&A contexts.
  4. Empathy, adaptability, and ability to build rapport in cross-cultural settings.
  5. Hands-on, pragmatic approach with willingness to travel and engage at all levels.
  6. Languages, especially Eastern European or Scandinavian, are a plus.
