About Bupper

Bupper is a quantum optimization startup on a mission to make advanced logistics optimization usable and accessible. We're building hybrid quantum-classical solvers to tackle some of the toughest problems in logistics — from routing and scheduling to real-time planning.

We've made significant progress, including:

• Validating real demand through customer interviews with logistics companies.
• Building early partnerships with quantum computer companies.
• Developing proprietary heuristic algorithms for complex problems like TSP, VRP, network flow, and knapsack.
• Receiving positive validation from industry experts and early adopters.

But to take Bupper to the next level, I need a technical co-founder who can drive the technical vision and build the core team alongside me.

What You'll Do

• Lead technical strategy and development of Bupper's hybrid optimization engine.
• Build and scale quantum-classical algorithms for logistics applications.
• Oversee the development of a visual, user-friendly interface that makes optimization accessible to non-specialists.
• Collaborate on technical partnerships.
• Shape Bupper's long-term technical vision while making strategic decisions about architecture and implementation.
• Work directly with me (Jack, Founder) to build out the technical team and attract top talent.

What We're Looking For

• Background in Software Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or Quantum Computing.
• Advanced degrees (Master's, PhD) are definitely a plus, but not a requirement.
• Experience with optimization algorithms (classical or quantum), particularly combinatorial problems like TSP and VRP.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, or similar programming languages.
• Familiarity with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Ocean, Pennylane) is a plus.
• You thrive on solving tough problems and aren't afraid to work with limited resources.
• Passion for building something groundbreaking in the quantum logistics space.
