A leading government agency is seeking a Certification Officer in Auckland to oversee vehicle certification compliance. The role involves site visits, performance reviews, and producing reports to enhance safety standards. Applicants should have extensive experience in vehicle inspections and strong IT skills. We are looking for a Certification Officer to join our busy specialist team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviews and investigations into high-risk and non-compliance areas within the vehicle certification sector. Drawing on your vehicle certification experience and excellent knowledge of Vehicle Inspection Requirement Manuals (VIRM), you will regularly visit and engage with regulated parties in the Auckland region to ensure they meet compliance and legislative requirements. This includes:
You will need to produce high-quality reports based on your visits, including findings and the implementation of statutory interventions and other regulatory activities. Reporting involves updating spreadsheets to track your findings and ensuring timely outcomes to enhance safety and compliance. Travel across Auckland and the wider region for site visits is required. Salary is between $90,423 and $120,564, depending on skills and experience.
