Te Haeata/The Opportunity
We are seeking a full-time permanent Senior Accounts Advisor to join our high-performing Transactional Services team in Hamilton.
In this role, you will assist with overseeing the day-to-day operations of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring efficient and accurate processing. You will play a key role in maintaining strong internal controls—particularly around sensitive expenditure—and act as the primary point of contact for complex financial queries. You will support the Team Leader in mentoring and developing the team by providing training, guidance, and support to team members in both Hamilton and Wellington.
We are looking for someone who has a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, a willingness to learn new things, and is prepared to take on extra responsibility to increase business process efficiency.

To be successful in this role, you will:
- Have sound knowledge of fundamental accounting
- Possess attention to detail and a high level of accuracy, along with proven written and oral communication skills
- Have demonstrated experience within the public sector or a large, complex environment with the ability to influence key stakeholders
- Be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Be a self-starter, with the ability to use initiative, pre-empt information requests, and be approachable with a can-do attitude
- Be committed to building Māori capability—both personally and within the team

Utu ā-tau/Salary
The starting salary for this role will be between $60,066 and $90,008, based on skills and experience.
