About the Role
As a Prevocational Medical Education Senior House Officer, you will support the Medical Education and Training Unit (METU) to deliver a high quality, high value medical education, training, and pastoral care programme at Waitaha Canterbury. You will work with METU and other Waitaha Canterbury colleagues to embed quality improvement, innovation, translational research, education, and leadership development. There will be the opportunity to identify a key project or quality improvement initiative in medical education and scope to tailor the role to suit individual interests and skills. You will also contribute to the night elective roster.
About the Team/Service/ Location
The role will be based at Christchurch Hospital within the Medical Education and Training Unit (METU).
The METU team comprises the Director Medical Clinical Training, two Medical Education Officers, an Administrator, and 15 Prevocational Educational Supervisors.
