Position Details:

  • Full Time / Part time: Full Time with occasional evening and weekend work required
  • Regular / Temporary: Regular
  • Salary: Minimum salary $100,000 NZD, commensurate with skills and experience
  • Benefits: Superannuation contribution, flexible work arrangements, work/life balance
  • Location: Work from home, some travel required
  • Reports to: Asia Pacific Regional Director, based in Australia

The Director of New Zealand Programs leads IFSA sites in New Zealand, focusing on customer service, program quality, student satisfaction, and partnership growth with universities and industry. Responsibilities include inspiring teams, managing program development, cultivating partnerships, overseeing operations, and ensuring compliance and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership:

  • Model a service-oriented approach with stakeholders to enhance partnerships and programs.
  • Develop opportunities for cultural and volunteer experiences.
  • Promote practices reflecting IFSA’s commitments to inclusion and intercultural understanding.
  • Contribute to global initiatives remotely.

Program Development:

  • Develop and deliver new programs, manage bids, and ensure quality delivery.
  • Research and define program objectives and content.

Partnership and Development:

  • Build relationships to enhance offerings.
  • Coordinate site visits and seminars.

Operations:

  • Collaborate on safety plans, manage emergencies, and train staff.
  • Oversee housing, student engagement, and continuous process improvement.
  • Manage budgets, financial reports, and legal compliance.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years in relevant roles, including education, hospitality, or nonprofit sectors.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
  • Enthusiasm for IFSA’s mission and supporting diverse students.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
  • Undergraduate degree and legal right to work in NZ.
  • Reside in Auckland, Christchurch, Dunedin, or Wellington, NZ.

Work Environment:

  • Computer-based work, travel within NZ and internationally.
  • Physical activities and occasional meetings outside regular hours.
