About Golden Bay Community Health

Golden Bay Community Health is a unique, integrated health facility providing extensive healthcare services including General Practice, Urgent Care, Aged Residential Care, Allied Health, Maternity Services, and more to a vibrant rural community. We aim to bring services closer to communities in a rural setting.

Golden Bay Community Health is part of Nelson Bays Primary Health (NBPH), which leads and coordinates primary and community healthcare services across the Nelson Bays region and is committed to reducing health inequalities.

Supported by an alliance comprising Nelson Bays Primary Health, Te Whatu Ora, and Mohua Property Trust, we ensure funding, operations, and governance underpin our services as a remote rural integrated health provider.

About The Role:

This leadership opportunity is based in one of New Zealand’s premier lifestyle locations - Golden Bay! Reporting directly to the Chief Executive of Nelson Bays Primary Health, as General Manager, you will oversee the strategic and operational leadership of Golden Bay Community Health.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality healthcare, engage effectively with Manawhenua ki Mohua, local community groups, and health partners to support healthcare and Hauora services.

Responsibilities include translating our strategic vision into action, managing people and budgets, and ensuring services are delivered based on best practices, cultural safety, and collaboration. You will work with the engaged leadership team at NBPH. A clinical background, proven leadership in multidisciplinary teams, excellent communication, financial management, and a commitment to innovation and excellence are essential.
