Job summary

Blacks Fasteners in Cromwell, New Zealand, is hiring for a versatile Warehouse, Trade Counter & Delivery Person. The role combines warehouse duties, counter service and delivery responsibilities in a small team.

You will be busy, practical and customer-focused, ensuring accurate order handling and timely deliveries. Prior warehousing or trade experience is preferred, with a full Class 1 licence highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehousing, stores, dispatch or a similar role.
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Confidence dealing with customers.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
• Good level of physical fitness for this active role.
• A full Class 1 driver's licence.
• Experience in fasteners, engineering or the trade industry would be an advantage, but it’s not essential.

Responsibilities

• Serving customers at the counter and providing friendly, knowledgeable service.
• Picking, packing and dispatching customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Receiving and checking incoming stock and ensuring it is correctly stored.
• Replenishing stock and keeping the warehouse and showroom tidy and organised.
• Processing returned goods and credits in line with company procedures.
• Preparing and prioritising customer deliveries.
• Safely loading and unloading delivery vehicles.
• Delivering goods to customers on time and in a professional and courteous manner.
• Working closely with the wider team to keep things running smoothly.
