Job summary

Cullinane College in Whanganui invites a dynamic Food Technology educator to lead the programme across Years 9–13, including NCEA Levels 1–3 assessment, and to teach Year 7–8 classes at the Catholic intermediate.

The successful candidate will design curriculum, manage resources, uphold health and safety standards in teaching kitchens, support pathways into hospitality and food science, and contribute to school-wide improvement in a faith-filled community.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering NCEA Food Technology or Hospitality preferred.
• Ability to design, assess and lead Food Technology curriculum.
• Commitment to high health, safety and hygiene standards in teaching kitchens.
• Recent graduates and new teachers welcome.

Responsibilities

• Oversee delivery of Food Technology across Years 9–13, including NCEA levels 1–3 assessments.
• Lead curriculum design, assessment and resource management in the Food Technology area.
• Maintain high health, safety and hygiene standards in kitchen facilities.
• Support student pathways into hospitality, food science and nutrition industries.
