Job summary

Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand in the Wairarapa region is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our Duty Nurse Team. This permanent part-time pool provides nursing cover across multiple units within Wairarapa Hospital, mainly Acute Services, Medical/Surgical, Assessment & Rehabilitation, and Paediatrics.

Roles are rostered across Monday to Sunday with rotating shifts. Applicants must be NZ residents or hold NZ residency or permanent visa status, and have a current Annual Practising

Qualifications

• NZ Registered General and Obstetric or Comprehensive Nurse.
• Current Annual Practising Certificate.
• Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing relief cover across units as directed by the Duty Nurse Manager.
• Work in shifts across Monday–Sunday as rostered in the Duty Nurse Team.
• Assist with patient transfers by ambulance when required.
