AWF New Zealand is seeking an experienced Duct Fitter to join a busy commercial construction team in Auckland. You will install ducting systems, interpret plans, and work with hand and power tools to ensure high-quality results while keeping safety front and centre.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Duct Fitter or in a similar HVAC on-site installation role.
• Experience installing commercial ducting systems.

• Competent using hand and power tools.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• A reliable and safety-focused attitude.
• Ability to pass pre-employment checks.

This role involves installing ducting systems and associated components on commercial projects. You will be responsible for interpreting plans, assembling and installing ductwork, using hand and power tools, and ensuring all work is completed to a high standard while maintaining a strong focus on health and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Install ducting systems and associated components on commercial construction sites.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Measure, assemble, and fit ductwork in accordance with project requirements.
• Select suitable materials, installation methods, and work sequences.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Complete quality checks on finished installations.
• Identify faults and make adjustments where required.
• Work collaboratively with supervisors and other trades on site.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment.
• Complete all work to a high standard and within project deadlines.

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:
