Job summary

A community organization in Lower Hutt seeks female volunteers to assist refugee women in obtaining their driving licenses. Volunteers will practice driving with a matched individual once or twice a week, contributing to their personal growth and driver safety. Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Must have held a clean NZ full licence for at least 2 years.
  • Willingness to support a refugee woman in practicing for her driving licence.

Responsibilities

  • Practice driving with a woman from a refugee background once or twice a week.
  • Be match with a local refugee woman to facilitate easy meetings.
  • Provide training and support as needed.

  • have some patience, confidence and creativity!

We are looking for some female volunteers to help another woman from a refugee background to get their licence by practicing with her once or twice a week. You will be matched with someone who lives nearby so that you can easily meet her at her place (all the practices will be in her car).

In return, you will make a positive difference in the life of woman from a refugee background and her family, receive training and support throughout your placement, increase your understanding of another culture and contribute to improving driver safety on the road.
