Job summary

Fulton Hogan Ltd in Whangārei (Northland) is seeking a Class 4 Driver/Operator to support surfacing and roading projects. You will drive, operate and labour on site, reporting to a Foreperson or Supervisor while helping keep workloads progressing safely and on time.

We value a safety-first mindset, a minimum of 2 years in a similar role, and valid W, T, R endorsements. Class 5 is a plus and you’ll join a collaborative crew committed to high-quality delivery.

Qualifications

• Current Class 4 license with W, T, R endorsements
• At least 2 years’ practical experience in a similar role
• Experience and understanding of traffic management on sites
• Safety-first mindset, reliable and team-focused

Responsibilities

• Complete driving, operating and labouring tasks as directed by your Foreperson or Supervisor to support safe, efficient delivery of surfacing and roading projects.
• Only operate machinery and tools that you are trained, competent and licensed to use.
• Support site readiness by taking part in pre-start meetings, risk planning, lifting and shifting materials, and keeping the workplace clean and tidy.
• Follow all safety, quality and environmental processes, report incidents and near misses, and look for better and safer ways of working.
