Job summary

Aceolution is seeking a Mapping Data Collection Driver in Auckland to drive routes and collect real-time mapping data while ensuring safe operation of vehicles and equipment.

You will use GPS navigation and mobile data collection tools, perform daily vehicle inspections, and keep Operations Lead updated on progress and issues. Prior experience in field operations is preferred and a strong attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driving license with a clean record.
  • Experience in driving, field operations, logistics or delivery preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and follow procedures.
  • Physically capable of light operational tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Drive designated routes to collect real-time mapping data.
  • Safely operate company vehicles and follow safety policies.
  • Use GPS navigation apps and mobile data tools for tasks.
  • Conduct basic daily vehicle inspections before/after shifts.
  • Report vehicle maintenance or equipment issues promptly.
  • Maintain contact with Operations Lead for updates.
  • Report accidents, violations, or vehicle damage.
  • Assist with vehicle maintenance coordination and equipment pickups/drops.
  • Ensure equipment is handled and maintained properly.
  • Complete routes accurately within scheduled timelines.

Job description

We are looking for a responsible and safety-conscious Mapping Data Collection Driver to support our field operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving assigned routes to collect real-time mapping data while ensuring the safe operation of company vehicles and data collection equipment. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and effective communication with the operations team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive designated routes as assigned to collect real-time mapping data.
  • Safely operate company-provided vehicles while complying with all traffic laws and company safety policies.
  • Use GPS navigation systems, mapping applications, and mobile data collection tools to complete assigned tasks.
  • Conduct basic daily vehicle inspections before and after each shift.
  • Promptly report any vehicle maintenance requirements, mechanical issues, or equipment malfunctions.
  • Maintain regular communication with the assigned Operations Lead regarding daily progress and operational updates.
  • Immediately report any accidents, traffic violations, vehicle damage, or other field incidents.
  • Assist with operational support activities, including:
  • Vehicle maintenance coordination
  • Equipment pickup and drop-off
  • Hand washing and cleaning of company vehicles
  • Ensure all assigned equipment is handled responsibly and maintained in good working condition.
  • Complete assigned routes accurately and within scheduled timelines.
Required Qualifications
  • Valid driving license with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum qualification: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in driving, field operations, logistics, or delivery is preferred.
  • Comfortable driving for extended periods.
  • Basic understanding of GPS navigation and smartphone applications.
  • Ability to work independently and follow operational procedures.
  • Physically capable of performing light operational tasks, including vehicle cleaning and equipment handling.
