Job summary

SouthRoads Limited is hiring an experienced Drainlayer/Pipelayer for our Oamaru civil crew. This hands-on role installs stormwater, wastewater and water reticulation pipework on civil and subdivision projects, trenching, laying, jointing and backfilling to spec and grade.

Qualifications

NZ Certificate in Drainlaying/Pipelaying (or working towards one).
Hands-on experience installing pipe; not just studying.
Current NZ driver’s licence (Wheels/Class 2 an advantage).
Site Safe / H&S tickets or willingness to obtain.
Solid work ethic and ability to work in a small crew.

Responsibilities

Installing stormwater, wastewater, and water reticulation pipework on civil/subdivision projects.
Trenching, laying, jointing and backfilling to spec and grade.
Reading and working from civil plans and levels.
Working with machine operators to keep projects moving.
Maintaining a safe, tidy and compliant job site.
