Job summary

CORDE is seeking experienced Drainage Operators to join our teams working across Selwyn. You’ll operate excavators (3T–20T), install PVC and concrete pipelines, and work in trenches with a tight-knit crew.

We value proven drainage experience, a Full Class 2 licence with WTR endorsements, and a safety-first attitude. Competitive hourly rate, weekly pay, company vehicle, and training opportunities are on offer.

Qualifications

• Proven drainage operating experience.
• Full Class 2 driver licence with WTR endorsements (essential).
• Experience in trench shields, PVC and concrete pipe installations.
• Experience operating excavators (3T to 20T).
• Safety-conscious with good digging practices.
• Able to pass pre-employment checks and be physically fit.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators and other machinery to complete drainage works.
• Excavate trenches and install PVC and concrete pipelines.
• Work in a tight-knit team and support trench work.

Our team at CORDE is continuing to grow and with summer around the corner, our drainage teams are full steam ahead. We’re currently seeking experienced Drainage Operators to join our teams working across Selwyn.

About the role | Ko te kaupapa

The right candidate will have experience across all areas of drainage works, including commercial and residential, excavating trenches, digging in shields and pipe laying. Day to day work will include working in a tight-knit team, operating various sized excavators and other machinery to complete the job, along with jumping in the trenches to help the team.

• Proven drainage operating experience
• Full Class 2 driver licence with WTR endorsements (essential)
• Proven experience working in trench shields, installing PVC and concrete pipelines
• Experienced operating excavators (3T to 20T)
• Health and Safety conscious with a positive attitude
• Strong knowledge of safe digging practices and underground services
• Ability to pass all pre-employment checks, physically fit and self-motivated
