Job summary

Chemist Warehouse NZ is seeking a motivated Full-Time Dispensary Technician (35-40 hours per week) in Tauranga. A level 4 or 5 Pharmacy Technician qualification is required. You will assist with dispensing, manage stock, and provide patient advice while maintaining privacy and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Qualified technician with a level 4 or 5 Pharmacy Technician qualification.
• Dispensary administration and stock management experience.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

• Knowledge of Pharmacy products and patient advisory.
• Accurate prescription records while maintaining privacy and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with scripts in/and dispensing.
• General dispensary administration.
• Update customer files.
• Order, receive, unpack and manage stock, including expiry monitoring.
• Provide professional advice to patients on medicines and health queries within scope of practice.
• Maintain accurate prescription records and privacy compliance.
• Count or pour medicines under Pharmacist supervision.
• Perform calculations for pharmacist checks.

The Opportunity

Chemist Warehouse Bethlehem is seeking a motivated and passionate individual to join our team as a Full-Time (35-40 hours per week) Dispensary Technician! This position is for a qualified technician with a level 4 or 5 Pharmacy Technician qualification.

Job Responsibilities

• Assisting with scripts in/and out and dispensing.
• General dispensary administration.
• Updating customer files
• Order, receive, unpack, and manage dispensary stock, including monitoring stock levels and expiry dates.
• Provide professional advice to patients and customers on medicines, minor ailments, and health-related enquiries within scope of practice.
• Maintain accurate prescription records and patient information while ensuring compliance with privacy and regulatory requirements.
• Counting or pouring medicines under Pharmacist supervision.
• Perform the necessary calculations for checking by the Pharmacist.
