Job summary

Chemist Warehouse Bethlehem in the Bay of Plenty, NZ, is seeking a motivated Dispensary Technician to join full-time (35-40 hours per week). Applicants should hold a level 4 or 5 Pharmacy Technician qualification and a Dispensary Assistant Qualification as a minimum.

You will assist with scripts and dispensing, manage stock, provide medicine advice, and maintain accurate patient records in a compliant, patient-centered pharmacy environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified Pharmacy Technician with Level 4/5 qualification.
• Minimum Dispensary Assistant Qualification.
• Pass a National Criminal History Check.
• Ability to work well in a team and provide patient-focused service.
• Excellent communication and record-keeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with scripts in/out and dispensing.
• Manage dispensary stock, monitor expiry dates and reorder as needed.
• Provide professional advice on medicines and health inquiries.
• Maintain accurate prescription records and patient information.
• Complete calculations for pharmacist verification.

The Opportunity

Chemist Warehouse Bethlehem is seeking a motivated and passionate individual to join our team as a Full-Time (35-40 hours per week) Dispensary Technician! This position is for a qualified technician with a level 4 or 5 Pharmacy Technician qualification.

Job Responsibilities

• Assisting with scripts in/and out and dispensing.
• General dispensary administration.
• Order, receive, unpack, and manage dispensary stock, including monitoring stock levels and expiry dates.
• Provide professional advice to patients and customers on medicines, minor ailments, and health-related enquiries within scope of practice.
• Maintain accurate prescription records and patient information while ensuring compliance with privacy and regulatory requirements.
• Perform the necessary calculations for checking by the Pharmacist.
