Role Description
You could be deployed to assist in a flood, fire or other large-scale emergencies, and you’ll help with a range of activities.
Your Tasks
- Setting up and providing support in evacuation centers
- Undertaking needs assessments to understand what support people need
- Providing psychosocial support
Volunteer requirements for DWST
- 18+ Years Old
- A good communicator
- Able to commit to your team for at least 12 months
- Able to pass New Zealand Police Check (support Services Child/youth)
- Able to provide 2 referees for character check

We have a high need for committed multi-skilled volunteers for our Disaster Welfare and Support Team in Tauranga.
The team trains fortnightly on a Monday from 7:00pm to 9:00pm in Greerton, Tauranga.
