Home Based, US

As Director, Project Quality & Risk Management, you will provide leadership and management to the Project Quality & Risk Management (PQRM) team, driving quality improvements across projects, clients, and departments.

Key Accountabilities:

  1. Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement strategies supporting Parexel's and Quality's goals.
  2. Translate the mission and vision into PQRM's contributions to Parexel's success.
  3. Foster a culture of open communication, growth opportunities, collaboration, and high performance within PQRM.
  4. Lead initiatives to achieve PQRM's objectives.
  5. Work with other PQRM leaders to shape the department's direction.
  6. Support staff in achieving individual and team goals.

Facilitate risk management activities:

  1. Lead department-level risk management processes.
  2. Identify, categorize, score risks, and develop mitigation plans.
  3. Integrate mitigations into departmental planning.
  4. Support regular risk reviews and assess mitigation effectiveness.

Ensure PQRM staff compliance with standards and regulations:

  1. Verify adherence to Parexel SOPs and curricula.
  2. Review and approve time recordings and billing.
  3. Guide goal setting and PDC compliance.

Serve as SME and partner with QA for audits and inspections:

  1. Prepare for audits, coordinate resources.
  2. Support onsite or remote during inspections.
  3. Provide expert advice and resolve critical issues.
  4. Represent PQRM in audits and inspections.
  5. Offer quality consulting using analytics and tools.
  6. Collaborate with operational leadership to ensure first-time quality.
  7. Review quality metrics and maintain client relationships.
  8. Represent Parexel Quality in client meetings and serve as escalation point.

Attract, develop, and retain PQRM staff:

  1. Recruit qualified personnel.
  2. Ensure sufficient trained staff, develop business cases if needed.
  3. Build talent pipelines and succession plans.
  4. Evaluate performance and provide developmental feedback.

Education

  • Degree in biological sciences, pharma, Quality Assurance, or related health discipline, or equivalent experience.
