Job summary

South Auckland Middle School is seeking an enthusiastic and creative teacher to lead learning in digital technologies and teach across other learning areas. You will teach Year 7–10, covering computational thinking and designing digital outcomes, with other areas shaped by kura needs and your strengths.

The role offers a supportive community, ongoing professional learning, and opportunities to shape digital technologies across the kura.

Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative teacher to join our team, leading learning in digital technologies and teaching across other learning areas. This is a great opportunity for a beginning teacher who enjoys variety and wants to help ākonga see how digital skills connect to everything they learn.

You will teach digital technologies at Year 7-10, covering computational thinking and designing and developing digital outcomes. Your other teaching areas will be shaped by the needs of our kura and your own strengths and interests, so we'd love to hear what else you can bring.

The terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position is set by the relevant collective agreement.

• holds, or is working towards, a current New Zealand teaching registration and practising certificate
• is confident with digital tools and keen to grow their teaching practice
• has strengths or interests in other learning areas they would enjoy teaching
• builds strong, respectful relationships with ākonga and whānau
