Our School of Digital Technologies is seeking highly motivated, dynamic individuals to teach an array of digital technologies subjects at our Manukau Campus. Reporting to the Head of Digital Technologies, you will need to be a lateral thinker with a constructive can-do attitude to solving problems, strong communication and interpersonal skills with an approachable, supportive personality. You will have a holistic approach to teaching which includes mentoring and pastoral care and experience teaching in a multicultural environment working with a diverse group of students.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A postgraduate qualification (preferably a PhD) in Information Technology or a related field is required.

Expertise and proficiency in one of our specialist areas are highly desirable.Priority will be given to applicants who can contribute to the delivery of Networking and Software courses. We currently offer a suite of programmes including the New Zealand Certificate in Information Technology Essentials (Level 4), the New Zealand Diploma in Information Technology Technical Support (Level 5), and the Bachelor of Digital Technologies (Level 7), with majors in Networking or Software and Web Development.

  • Demonstrated experience and success in teaching or training IT subjects. For an appointment at senior lecturer level, relevant experience in teaching and assessment with proven contribution to curriculum design and development.
