Job summary

Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Digital team in Tauranga. You will lead a varied portfolio of digital and technology projects, shaping scope, coordinating delivery and ensuring value for our kaimahi and ākonga.

You will work with Digital specialists, leaders and vendors to translate business needs into clear plans, manage risks and dependencies, and enable successful adoption of new technology.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering digital/technology projects.
• Strong planning and prioritisation skills.
• Ability to translate business needs to technical terms.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with changing priorities.
• Relevant project management qualification or practical experience.
• Experience in complex multi-stakeholder environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of digital and technology projects from discovery through delivery and handover.
• Clarify objectives, define scope and delivery requirements with stakeholders.
• Develop practical project plans, milestones, budgets and resources.
• Coordinate activity across Digital, business teams, suppliers and stakeholders.
• Monitor progress, risks and dependencies and keep them visible.
• Facilitate governance, reporting and decision-making.
• Support requirements gathering, testing, and transition to operations.
• Build strong relationships and shared ownership of outcomes.
• Support change management and stakeholder engagement for adoption.
• Ensure information security, privacy and architectural considerations.
• Capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement.
