Our Emerging Professionals Programme | Te Reanga Pito Mata

Runs over 24 months with three 8-month rotations within the selected area of specialisation. It brings some of the top emerging talent from across the motu together with the best people from NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA). Through your work, you'll have the chance to improve and enhance the transport network and systems across Aotearoa.

On offer is a unique opportunity to explore new career paths within our organisation to help deliver our customer promise – a land transport system connecting people, products, and places for a thriving Aotearoa.

Salary: $61,230, commensurate with skills and experience.

Ko koe tēnei | About you

To be successful, you will bring:

  1. A bachelor’s degree or higher in Digital (Security, Engineering, and Computer and Information Sciences)
  2. Graduated within the last three years
  3. Desirable: Technical skills and knowledge of specific programming languages, tools, frameworks, and concepts
  4. An understanding of operating in an agile environment
  5. Strong written and verbal communication skills
  6. Strong personal and cultural values
  7. A collaborative mindset and engagement skills
  8. A desire to learn and acquire new skills
  9. Natural curiosity about processes and improvements
  10. A proactive approach

You should also demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to learn about, Te Ao Māori, tikanga, and Te Reo Māori, as well as an understanding of te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public sector.
