Qualifications

• 2+ years of civil operating experience required.

• Perform routine maintenance, safety checks, and report issues to supervisors.

About the Role:

Tradestaff Dunedin is excited to offer an opportunity for a Digger operator with a reputable demolition company.

Start immediately, long-term work available! This company has secured work on one of Dunedin's largest projects.

Normal hours for this role are 7am - 5pm, located in Central Dunedin.

What You’ll Do:

• Operate excavators (typically 20+ tonne) and perform earthworks
• Perform routine maintenance, safety checks, and report issues to supervisors
• Assist with general construction labouring duties as required
• Follow instructions from supervisors and site plans
• Adhere to safety protocols and site plans
• Communicate effectively with team members and management
• Read and interpret blueprints and plans

What We’re Looking For:

• Full Class 1 licence + WTR
• 2+ years of civil operating experience
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol tests
• Two work references
• NZ residency or valid NZ work visa/permit
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Strong safety focus and excellent communication skills
