Job summary

Health New Zealand / Te Whatu Ora Waitematā is seeking a Dietitian Clinical Lead for North Shore Hospital on a fixed-term parental leave cover until 15 October 2027. The role includes day-to-day leadership of the acute inpatient and renal dietetics teams, plus a minimum of 0.2 FTE of direct clinical support.

You will mentor staff, manage resources, support quality improvement, and work across sites with Allied Health.

Qualifications

• New Zealand registered Dietitian with APC and 5+ years relevant experience in a professional/clinical role.
• 2 years experience in a senior leadership position
• Excellent communication skills
• Effective leadership and people skills
• Ability to be flexible and work across sites

Responsibilities

• Lead the acute inpatient dietetics team and the renal dietetics team on a day-to-day basis.
• Provide a minimum of 0.2 FTE of clinical support including teaching, audits, assessment and intervention.
• Manage staff and resources to ensure quality service delivery and professional development.
• Contribute to quality improvement projects and service development across allied health.
