Job summary

Eagle Recruitment in New Plymouth is seeking reliable courier drivers to safely collect and deliver parcels to customers and businesses. You will load, transport, and securely handle goods, following efficient routes to guarantee timely deliveries.

The role requires 1 year experience or a Level 1 certificate, with weekend availability. Competitive pay between $25 and $35 per hour, approximately 30 hours per week, and a supportive team environment.

• Weekend availability (must be able to work on Saturdays).

Responsibilities

• Safely collect and deliver parcels, packages, and documents to customers and businesses.
• Load, unload, and securely transport goods while preventing damage or loss.
• Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely deliveries.
• Complete deliveries and collections accurately and within scheduled timeframes.
• Obtain customer signatures or electronic confirmation where required.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service at every delivery.
• Check delivery addresses and ensure parcels are delivered to the correct recipient.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, collections, and any issues encountered.
• Use GPS, delivery apps, or handheld devices to update delivery status.
• Inspect the vehicle regularly and report any maintenance or safety issues.
• Keep the vehicle clean, secure, and in good working condition.
• Follow all road safety, company, and workplace health and safety requirements.
• Handle parcels carefully, including fragile or high-value items.
• Communicate promptly with dispatchers, supervisors, and customers regarding delays or delivery issues.
• Collect payments or return documentation when required.
• Assist with general warehouse, sorting, loading, or collection duties when necessary.
