Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is seeking a Health Care Assistant for the Hutt Dialysis Unit, Hutt Valley Health Hub. The role is permanent part-time (0.79 FTE), 63 hours per fortnight, working 9 shifts of 7 hours on a rostered rotating basis (0700–1430; 1400–2130).

Qualifications

• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Effective time management.
• Flexible and adaptable; able to work under direction but also independently.
• Basic computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Set up dialysis machines and prepare supplies for patient treatment.
• Restock supplies and clean equipment.
• Provide general support to the Dialysis Unit nursing team to meet service needs.
