Job description

Our client is looking for a highly skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer to join their team on a contract basis until June 2026. This role is crucial for managing and optimising the data pipelines, ensuring the smooth flow and integrity of data across the systems.

Responsibilities
  • Designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and feeds.
  • Implementing and managing infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform or similar tools.
  • Working closely with data scientists and engineers to deploy and manage data-related services.
  • Automating and optimising data workflows and operational processes.
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting data pipeline performance and reliability.
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in data engineering and DevOps, specifically within a multi-cloud environment.
  • Expertise in building and managing data feeds and ETL/ELT processes across different cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or similar, with a focus on cross-platform deployments.
  • Strong Python skills are essential for this role, particularly in data manipulation and scripting.
  • Familiarity with containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and their orchestration in various cloud settings.
  • A solid understanding of cloud-agnostic tools and methodologies that ensure consistency and reliability regardless of the underlying cloud provider.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree and at least 5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer.
