Job summary

Serko Ltd in Auckland is seeking a design-systems focused software engineer to own end-to-end components, tokens, and patterns that power multiple product teams. You will drive adoption from scoping through to release, creating scalable foundations that teams can rely on.

You'll collaborate closely with Design and Engineering, write clear guidance, and help evolve our design-system foundations without disrupting ongoing work.

Qualifications

• Strong production experience with React and TypeScript.
• Deep understanding of component architecture and design tokens.
• Experience building accessible UI components (WCAG AA).

Responsibilities

• Independently deliver accessible, high-quality components from scoping to adoption.
• Collaborate with Design and Engineering to evolve foundations without disruption.
• Write clear guidance and documentation for reuse by product teams.
• Break complex problems into small, shippable slices and lead projects.
